This year has been great... I have experimented a lot with my hair though i feel i should have done more daring styles.. i have also had breaking points whereby i just wanted to shave all my hair off.. but Thank God that didn't happen.... these were my fav momentos :)

Creative Criticism

This week  I learnt to appreciate creative criticism… sometimes u perceive things differently from others and u may not realize it cause of all the “hot air” you are getting from those around you..

 

A friend of mine had made a Display pic on bbm and I went on and told him how fat he was/looked and he was pretty much shocked wit my comment..i mean he musta thought he looked amazing hence him even cropping ppl out of his pic *giggles*… but then he retaliated and told me how I looked old and shady in mine *faints* as much as I should have been insulted I laughed it off cause  I never saw it that way.. 

Lol anyway.. what I learnt and wanted to share is that u can only grow if u see the positive in what others tell you weather good or bad.. You have to be open minded at all times thus allowing yourself to learn new things and coming out a better person than u were before..

For those who love scarfs, they help not only keep u warm and looking stylish but they also help hide your not so good parts like a bulging tummy after a great meal etc...
I have to admit I have vaguely tried some of these styles before but some i wasn't too sure so i left them hanging, but this video confirmed how legit they actually can be...

Designer Watch: Christie Brown

Christie Brown 
While watching Making of a Mogul with my mum they featured Christie Brown and I immediately fell in love with her work, I loved her use of various colors and the uniqueness of her work.. we have seen very many repetitive work by many African designers but hers is quite eye catching... 
I dont only love her work but i admire who she is and her determination and drive to reach the top as her clothes are being worn and featured on covers by artists..

My My... gotta love the lady...

As we are havin a family chill out day...My mummys creative mind pops up with a not so amazing idea to me at the time of me getting this stripped skirt...
One of my golden rules when it comes to dressing (which has sorta TOTALLY faded) is that i shud never be seen in  items of clothing that have any form of stripes especially HORIZONTAL ones.. because they would make me bigger..
and with the hips i was blessed with i didn't think they need to look doubled....

Anyway long story short i got the skirt thanks to my mummy n daddy... and this is what i wore on a night out... :D

Though this would look much better in heels....

The first two items of clothing were done by my mum by re-designing a rejected over sized dress :)...

The leopard print was re-designed from a maternity dress to a one arm dress top

and outfits we wore on a relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle of nairobi and prying and judgmental eyes :D
